An Integrative Approach to Fertility Issues using Hand/Foot/Ear Reflex Points

Barbara Scott has been in practice as a Reflexologist for over 20 years. She has been teaching Reproflexology™ since 2008 and founded the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists in 2011. She is author of ‘Reflexology for Fertility’ published by Watkins Books in 2016, which became an instant Amazon Best Seller.

Barbara speaks and lectures regularly for both reflexology and medical organizations. Most recently at Dumfries House ‘Women’s Health Conference’, where a Centre for Integrative Medicine is being established. Barbara is also due to speak at The Fertility Show at Olympia in London 2017 and will be part of the Q & A specialist panel, representing complementary therapies, for members of the public.

Lisa Chan, USA

Lisa earned her Full Reflexology Certificate from the American Academy of Reflexology in 1991 and has been teaching Academy classes in various parts of California and the USA since 1995.

Lisa is a licensed Acupuncturist and has an active Reflexology and Acupuncture practice in the Greater Los Angeles area. She has conducted the popular Beginning and Integrated Certificate Course, Spa Reflexology, Infant, Child, Teen Reflexology, and other classes for many years.

Lisa hosted her own cable TV show called “Healers on Healing”, was editor of the “Reflexology Digest” for the Reflexology Association of California, and author of a Reflexology Coloring Book.

Jackie Segers, NZ

Jackie is a certified reflexologist who trained with Bill Flocco and  Lisa Chan at the American Academy of Reflexology in 2000. She is the author of Reflexology for Cats- and other natural therapies for your feline companion. Jackie has created ear, face and paw maps for animals. Reflexology provides health benefits for our companion animals and helps develop mutual love and connection.

Lynda Kidd, TAS

Lynda is a reflexologist and has been a professional member for over 20 years. During this time she has taught reflexology at interest and diploma levels. She has also been an active committee and board member. Her reflexology experiences have guided her to become a teacher, educator and researcher and she aims to utilise these additional skills in a university supported project on reflexology in the near future.

Edmund Gooden, SA

Sacred Grove was created by Edmund Gooden to provide a sustainable supply of the Scented Emu Bush known for its anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Edmund has spent several years in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in remote North West South Australia, gaining knowledge about the deep and rich culture. With his Bachelor of Applied Science in Agriculture and anthropological background, he took an interest in the massive role the Irmangka Irmangka (Scented Emu Bush) plays in the culture as the aptly named “number one medicinal plant”.

Lisa Fiocchini, SA

Naturopath working with Food as Medicine with a Cardiac Care Registered Nursing background. Has over 16 years of clinical experience. Specialty is working with Food as Medicine for health and wellbeing. Lectures Iridology, Tongue and nail analysis as well as treating patients with Food as Medicine for chronic illnesses prevention.

Sharon Stathis, QLD

Sharon is a Registered Nurse, holistic health educator and author. Sharon received her initial, reflexology qualification from Dwight Byers in 1989. Sharon has professional qualifications in a variety of natural therapies including Reiki, Aromatherapy and Remedial Massage. She successfully combined these therapies with her nursing knowledge during 20 years of private, clinical practice.  Sharon developed the concept of Ayurvedic Reflexology in 2003, and has won international acclaim for her presentation of this work at seminars and conferences in 17 countries.

Vera Emmi, QLD

Has a Dip Reflexology, is a Paramedical Skin Therapist, and has Cert IV’s in Allied Health -Occupational Therapy and Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as other health and well-being modalities.  Her background is 11 years in Finance and Lending, 30 years Business management, currently in the final stages of completing Cert IV in Accounting and Cert IV in Bookkeeping. Vera has been a certified trainer (both a TAFE, workplace and private workshops) since the 1990’s. Currently on the RAoA Board and has various roles. Author of – ‘Acupressure for Shoulder Pain and Shoulder Injuries’ based on a personal journey which lead to assisting others.

Uncle Lewis O’Brien Kaurna Elder, SA

Has provided three decades of cultural and pastoral support to Aboriginal children, families and inmates. His face-to-face work has been complemented by substantial contributions to scholarly and creative domains, particularly with respect to the maintenance and promotion of Kaurna language and culture. His tertiary-level contributions have involved Kaurna language support at the University of Adelaide, research support at the University of South Australia and student support, as a visiting Elder, at Flinders University. At the University of South Australia, he consulted on integrating Indigenous knowledge into science and engineering programmes, an Australian first.

Julie Marchetti, WA

Reflexologist, Holistic Counsellor and Complementary Therapist for over 10 years who is continually learning, researching and upskilling her knowledge looking at ways to support clients who are undergoing infertility challenges.  She has a special interest in working with couples to uncover the physical, mental and emotional barriers and support them with her fertility coaching program as they journey through the maze of infertility.

A current Board member of the Reflexology Association of Australia.

Sarah Hoey, WA

Clinical Reflexologist for 5 years and a Registered Nurse for 23 years. Trained as an RN in the UK. Has worked in high pressure areas like ICU and Emergency in the UK, Ireland and Australia. Sarah’s clinical experience has driven her to create a busy clinic which is focussed on assisting clients to gain body repair, function and balance while maintaining and improving their physical mobility and confidence. Specialising in using Reflexology to relieve pain and maintain mobility. Sarah’s clients have included WAFL Players, Professional Triathletes and Ironman Competitors.

James Flaxman, SA

Hollie Kelly & Karen Bishop, WA

Perth School of Reflexology was established by Hollie Ann Kelly and Karen Bishop in Perth, Western Australia in 2012. Both Hollie and Karen have had many years of experience in Reflexology, run their own private practices and are Accredited Trainers of the Reflexology Association of Australia.

Creating the School came about as they saw a need for more Reflexology practitioners to spread the word of the benefits of this amazing modality, yet there were very limited facilities to train at a high enough level in Western Australia

Irene Allan (nee Ahang), SA

I am a well-known Aboriginal Elder in the South Australian community, I was born in Kingston South East in 1941. My Clan Group is called Tanganekald, I am an Artist and paint on Canvas, paint Healing Stones, Healing Seed Necklaces, and Emu Eggs, I do Smoking Ceremonies, Yarning Circles and Drumming Circles, I work with building energy and bonding among people that come in to the Circles, I have produced a Healing CD for when people are going through stress, this takes them away on a journey to beautiful places, all to do with healing the body and making yourself feel good. I seek to help others overcome difficulties in their lives through spiritual connections with the land and their Ancestors, I talk to people that are finding it hard to see clear, and put them on a positive path. Last year I was awarded Elder of the year. And this year was one of seven Strong Aboriginal Woman chosen to be on a poster of the theme “Because of her we can”.
